Multisite brings to multi functionalities

Wedia WMS offers with its multisite functionality the ability to manage different sites presenting different types of content. Some of these content objects will be common to all sites (category, probably article ...), but some will be very specific to one site (ucits might be a content object for some sites, but obviously not for all. 
Another aspect of these differencies will be concerning templates : all sites will have a home template (which might be different from one site to the other), but ucits-list might not...

Multi functionalities brings to complexity

For ergonomic and ease of use reasons, we don't want to be able to create an UCITS or to choose a UCITS-list template if the site in which we are contributing doesn't need them.
It is easy to deal with those issues when you only have to consider a couple of objects and templates. But when you are developping a platform with multiple sites, multiple site models, multiple templates for different brands, in different countries, it might become difficult.

Wedia WMS to the rescue

Wedia WMS provides standard tools for partitioning sites (with group, model and site available granularity).

Partitioning content objects : You can define the list of content objects by defining (by increasing priority) it for a group of sites (mediagroup object), a site model (sitemodel object) or a site (media object).If nothing is defined, the standard engine configuration will be use  (i. e. objects configured to be cont objects).
The list of content objects will alter the quick create green block on the BO dashboard, objects on which you can create internal links...

Partitioning templates : Templates must be associated to site models (sitemodel) to be usable in all sites implementing the model. However, it is possible to exclude specific templates from one site by selecting templates to exclude from the site.
