French Employment Agency Modernizes Web Services

Pôle emploi

Pôle emploi deploys a web content management solution to meet better the needs of millions of job seekers and companies using its services.

With a goal to become the leading European employment website, Pôle emploi wanted to simplify procedures for job seekers and also offer new services for recruiting companies. The organization chose a WEDIA solution to replace its content management system and enable it to update its many websites more efficiently.

Once the WEDIA soluion was in place, the agency was able to:

  • Use the multisite reference platform to manage and maintain all its Internet and Intranet sites and to unify communications around its services
  • Make it easier for non-technical contributors to create and publish content
    on their own
  • Take advantage of multimedia to offer a better experience for users
  • Support peak traffic volumes with its highly available infrastructure
The WEDIA solution is integrated with the agency's back-end applications and is now used to manage the corporate website, emploi.org, and the agency's intranet sites.

"We wanted a safe, sustainable, and stable solution to unify content management on our sites and, secondly, allow our 300 in-house contributors to independently update the pages. After having implemented a prototype to test the viability of the solution in our context, we validated that WEDIA solution met our technical and functional needs," said Yves Ruellant, head of web services at Unedic, which manages Pôle emploi web projects.
