Recently, leading research and advisory company, Gartner, published its “Gartner Digital Commerce Vendor Guide, 2020.” Wedia has been recognized, among 13 global representative vendors, for its Digital Asset Management solution. An acknowledgement that reflects Wedia’s ongoing efforts in making its DAM solution a key element in the Marketing and Sales tech stack of any retail company.
The Gartner Digital Commerce Vendor Guide provides an overview of the key trends and vendors in the digital commerce technology landscape. According to Gartner, “digital commerce is central to digital business strategy” and is “a key driver of revenue”.
In the past few years, digital commerce has grown and evolved rapidly, and in 2019 represented almost 15% of global retail sales. Digitalization and changes in customer expectations have made it critical for companies to not only enable customers to purchase goods and services online, but provide a consistent, personalized and optimized customer experience – whether on a mobile device or desktop, or an e-commerce website or social media platform.
However, it can be difficult to understand and decide which existing or emerging technologies to invest in to support and enrich your digital commerce strategy. According to Gartner “the large range of vendors offering digital commerce platforms and ecosystem capabilities overwhelms many application leaders.” The Gartner guide aims to “help you understand the vendors and solutions supporting digital commerce technology, with a view to prioritizing areas of investment.”
Gartner clients can read the Gartner guide to see the complete list of digital commerce technologies, from digital commerce platforms and payment solutions, to personalization engines and digital asset management platforms, as well as find recommendations for refining their digital commerce roadmap.
